What is Open Studio: Paint Your Own Pottery?
Open Studio is a relaxed, creative space where you can choose from our wide selection of paint-your-own pottery pieces and design something completely unique!
Reservations are optional but recommended to guarantee a table—especially during busy times. A $5 deposit holds your spot and will be credited toward your final total. Only one reservation is needed per group.
Studio Details:
Open Studio is perfect for all ages. Please note: Alcohol is allowed as we are within the social district.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend arriving at least one hour before closing so you have plenty of time to paint. If you’ve made a reservation, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to choose your pottery.
We offer hundreds of pottery pieces ranging from $5 to $65—everything from mugs and plates to figurines and seasonal items.
After you paint, we’ll glaze and fire your creation in our kiln. Your masterpiece will be ready to pick up in within two weeks.
Our staff is always here to offer tips, ideas, and light guidance—but the creative process is all yours!
Whether you're a first-time painter or a seasoned creator, Open Studio is a fun, stress-free place to make art, relax, and create lasting memories—no experience needed!
When Will My Pottery Be Ready?
Your piece will be ready for pickup within 7 to 14 days—we’ll take care of the glazing and kiln-firing, so you won’t be taking your pottery home the same day you paint it.
Visiting from out of town? No worries—we can ship your finished piece to you at standard postal rates.
How Much Does It Cost?
There’s a $5 studio fee per painter (for any age!) which covers all your painting supplies, tools, glazing, and firing.
Pottery pieces are individually priced, ranging from $4 to $100+, with most items averaging around $25.
Do You Offer a Military Discount?
Yes! We’re proud to offer 10% off your entire purchase with valid military ID.
What Kind of Pottery Do You Have?
We have a wide variety—from everyday favorites like mugs, plates, and bowls to fun seasonal items, picture frames, pet dishes, figurines, and more. Our selection changes often, so there’s always something new to paint!
Not Sure You’re Creative?
No problem at all! We’ve got tons of technique cards, stencils, silkscreens, and design ideas to get you started. Our friendly staff is always here to offer inspiration and guidance—anyone can create something beautiful!

Do I Need a Reservation?

What happens if my pottery is damaged in the kiln?
Kiln Firing & Pottery Damage Policy
At L&C Artistry, we take great care in handling and firing your pottery pieces. That said, due to the nature of kiln firing, occasional issues—such as cracks, glaze flaws, or unexpected damage—can occur despite our best efforts.
In the event your pottery is damaged in the kiln:
We will gladly offer you one of the following options:
A full refund for the cost of the damaged piece, or
A free replacement piece of equal value, along with complimentary studio time and firing.
Important Notes:
Refunds or replacements apply only to pottery damaged during our firing process.
Pottery taken home "as is" before firing, or items damaged due to handling after pickup, will not be eligible for this policy.
Each piece is individually handmade and glazed by you, so while we do everything possible to ensure a successful firing, minor imperfections are a normal part of the ceramic process.
We truly appreciate your understanding and will always do our best to make the situation right while keeping the creative spirit alive!
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
