  • Acrylic painting basics

  • Abstract expression (splatter, drip, bold brushwork)

  • Oil pastel resist

🎭 Week 2: June 8–11

Characters, Cartoons & Comics

Techniques:

  • Character design (facial expressions, proportions)

  • Comic panel layout & sequencing

  • Inking & outlining techniques

  • Marker rendering & speech bubbles

🌿 Week 3: June 15–18

Nature Tells a Story

Techniques:

  • Watercolor washes & layering

  • Texture rubbings (leaves, bark)

  • Mixed media collage with natural materials

  • Observational drawing

🧱 Week 4: June 22–25

Build It! Sculpture & 3D Art

Techniques:

  • Cardboard construction & joining methods

  • Clay hand-building (pinch, coil, slab)

  • Assemblage with found objects

  • Yarn wrapping / soft sculpture

Magic, Fairies & Fantasy Worlds

Techniques:

  • Miniature building (fairy houses)

  • Mixed media layering (paint + collage + texture)

  • Glitter/resist techniques

  • Fantasy illustration

Famous Artists Studio

Techniques:

  • Artist-inspired styles (e.g., Van Gogh brushwork, Matisse cut paper)

  • Pattern & design exploration

  • Portrait basics

  • Color + composition studies

STEAM Meets Art

Techniques:

  • Process art with chemical reactions (baking soda, watercolor reactions)

  • Marble painting / force & motion

  • Symmetry & design

  • Simple engineering builds

🐠 Week 8: July 20–23

Under the Sea Adventure

Techniques:

  • Texture techniques (sponges, salt, bubble wrap)

  • Layered painting for depth

  • Collage with fabric/paper

  • Guided drawing of sea creatures

Process Art Party

Techniques:

  • Open-ended process art stations

  • Printmaking (stamping, monoprints)

  • Pour painting / fluid art

  • Large collaborative mural work
